"The Future of Sustainable Lifestyles and Entrepreneurship" conference will be held in Cologne on 24th-25th May, 2011. This will be a good chance for meeting entrepreneurs and innovators designing for sustainable living in our future.

The 9th Conference of the Asia Pacific Roundtable for Sustainable consumption and production (APRSCP), the regional network of the professionals, academics and industrialists to promote Sustainable Consumption and Production in the region will be held in Sri Lanka from 10 – 12 June 2010.

From 18th to 19th of May 2010, Malaysian Green Growth Policy Tools Training Workshop for Low Carbon Development, organized by the British High Commission, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and the Regional Helpdesk on SCP, will be held in Kuala Lumpur.

On 29 March-1 April 2010, the 2nd of the Training of Trainers: UNESCAP-UNPOG Capacity Development Seminar, organized by United Nations Economic and Social Commission (UNESCAP) and the United Nations Project Office for Governance (UNPOG), Republic of Korea, and in partnership with the Regional Helpdesk on Sustainable Consumption and Production will build further on the capacity development methodology and tools to look into the issues of Green Growth for Good Governance.

Green and Growth can and should go hand in hand. There is a growing conviction across countries that this need a greener growth model. To help identify future strategies for green growth, the Korean government and the OECD are co-organising a workshop which will help exchange information and experiences among OECD and non-member countries on strategies for green growth.

To meet the sustainable development policy making needs ESCAP in partnership with the Regional Helpdesk on SCP in Asia and the Pacific and with generous support from the UK Government has prepared a unique training package for Green Growth for ASEAN Government Officials. Building on the success of last months training, ESCAP has taken steps to include a session on policy tools aimed at fostering low-carbon development.
